[Newt is just sort of wandering aimlessly after the trial in an attempt to clear his head. He winds up in the armory, for some reason? He has no real business here, but—]

[Ishikirasfdjsj apparently has some business to take care of in the little training area. Newt averts his eyes, but continues to stand there, like an asshole.

[Eyes unaverted, then. In fact, he's coming over to check out what Ishi's doing.]

I've been better, but I've been worse, too. I suppose you could say I'm lucky. I didn't really know anyone involved today.

[Ergo he's not in mourning or anything.]

[Maybe that's for the best, that not all of them will be affected, but he's less familiar with that distance himself.]

I wasn't terribly familiar with them, either, but neither do I care for the situation as a whole.

Well, yeah. Murder is never gonna be something I'm on board with.

[He feels like he has to reiterate this point pretty often??? Oh well. He nods at the sword in Ishi's lap.]

[Apparently that's not the case for everyone, so really, it doesn't hurt to say so.

He nods at that question, though, familiar enough with the motions that he can glance up to Newt and just work while he speaks.]

But it did, yes. It's been with me for quite some time, so it would have been concerning if it didn't.

Is it like a family heirloom or something? Even if it wasn't here, it'd be waiting for you when you got home.

I'm sure it would, but... it would still have been strange not to have it, I suppose. Just as anyone else would be a little alarmed at the loss of anything they kept with them.

Eh, maybe. I don't think I would've cared much had I not shown up here with anything from home. I've been taking it as more of a perk.
