week three - monday - julius
[Newt hasn't spent a whole lot of time in the fortune teller's den. He hasn't had much reason to, honestly. It's not like he believes in this crap.
But apparently that's where Julius is hanging out, so now he's here, eyeing everything in the room rather judgmentally. Even with real actual gods in play, it all still seems bogus to him. But whatever. There's more important things at hand.]
I kind of doubt we're followers of the same god, but it'd be pretty funny if we were.
[Hey.]

[ Is what he says in response, even before looking up to see who'd entered. Oh, hey to you too. When he does glance over,
Look. Listen, buddy. He sees that judgmental glance. So preclude any questions: ]
There was a trap door in here the other day that neither Guy nor myself managed to get open. It's underneath the cushions if you want to look, but we were busy with the scavenger hunt and set it aside then.
[ Are they going to dance around actually mentioning the god, though. ]

[He might just have to take a look. Later, though.]
If it's anything like these other locked doors have been, I won't be able to do much with it. You're not a Cunning man either, huh?
[yes because RULES!!]
Or Fortune, apparently. What are you doing in here?

[ rules!!! ]
Either way, no, I don't have Think Outside the Lock, unfortunately. One of the crystal balls here reacted to a certain word when Guy and I were in here before, so I wondered if there might actually be a route of entry that isn't so power dependent.
[ thinking emoji. ]
That said, would you be surprised if I told you Fortune had originally offered me a spot?

I'd say it checks out, given your brush with death the other week. You have to have some luck on your side to skirt out of that.
[He moves toward the crystal balls, idling looking them over.]
What was the word? Ambition was one of mine, by the way.

[ It's cheerful, so he's probably joking. ]
That said, I can't say luck is quite the word that comes to mind when describing any of my family, myself included. Fortune's said as much, too. Something about thinking how I could use some.
[ So it's almost a little ironic that was the reasoning for their making him an offer during the dream, considering the follower counts right now. Hm. ]
Anyways, the ball. It glowed, sort of, when we said 'knock?' But we tried knocking on the door when that happened, and it didn't do anything, so I'm guessing it's part of some bigger puzzle or something like that.
