[It's odd how many people are still milling around the carnival after all the terrible shit that went down here the other night. It helps that not everyone has to actually witness it, he figures. And it's certainly a more lively scene than the courtyard or the rest of the temple.

Newt spots Sieg and heads over.]

[He's at the base of the Ferris wheel and looking up. He didn't come here for investigation, but at the same time he heard what happened.

How could he just walk away now?

Maybe.

[He was made in a war and then he spent a year asleep. Fun is an alien concept to him, but okay.]

... I can't stop thinking about the trial. I know there's no evidence here anymore.

Mmm. Yeah, it'll be a tough one to put out of our minds, especially with a killer running free.

But I don't know that dwelling on it is going to do any good. We weren't close to solving any of it.

Sorry, I'm not good at putting things aside.

We had five suspects at the end there. Ambition told us it was somebody we'd never suspect.

Did you vote based on that or did you stick with Ambition?

[heartmunculus]

I didn't know any of the those people's alignments. Madoka said she was in Sincerity, but that wasn't an option.

... I did change my vote from Ambition.

[arockstar]

[That gets an eyebrow raise. His question isn't judgmental, though.]

You think Madoka might be hiding something? For what it's worth, I voted Love.

[heartmunculus]

Even if she is, there's no way for me to check that. Nonon, Zoe, Rachel, Catra, Entrapta, and Madoka were our options at the very end.

Love's been an option every trial since the beginning. That's fair.

... I voted for Ruin.

Ruin, huh? Buying into mob mentality, are we?

[heartmunculus]

I don't think she's an awful person.

I just don't believe in her vision.

[arockstar]

Fair enough. Was that the only reason, or did you actually suspect her follower was responsible?

[heartmunculus]

I have no idea who her follower is.

[arockstar]

...Which means you were willing to condemn them to death because you didn't agree with Ruin's vision.

[He says it like a fact, not a judgment.]

If we knew who the killer who had intent was, I'd rather vote for them.

[ Is he entirely okay with it? Not really. However... With a game like this, who wins is important. ]

This game won't last forever. For us, it's temporary. That won't be the case for the people who are in that world.

[arockstar]

[He nods.]

You're not wrong. I wish more people would think of the game like that, if I'm being honest.

[He shoves his hands into his pockets.]

It's just temporary. I don't like it anymore than anyone else, but at least it's temporary.

It'll be over in a few weeks. The deaths and injuries will be reversed and whoever wins gets their wishes granted.

... Of course, I'd like to win. But so would everybody.
